known by his ring name Rey Mysterio, Jr. and now known by his ring name Rey Mysterio, born December 12, 1974 is a Hispanic professional wrestler currently signed to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) wrestling on its SmackDown brand. Mysterio trained in and started his career in the lucha libre style of Mexico and has achieved success in the heavyweight, cruiserweight and tag team divisions throughout his career. He has been a World Cruiserweight Champion a record-setting eight times.[6] In WWE, Mysterio has won the World Heavyweight Championship once,[7][8] the WWE World Cruiserweight Championship three times,[6][8] the WWE World Tag Team Championship four times[8][9] and the WWE Intercontinental Championship twice, making him the 21st person to win the Triple Crown Championship. Mysterio was also the winner of 2006 Royal Rumble.[10] In WCW, Mysterio won the WCW World Cruiserweight Championship five times,[6][8] the WCW World Tag Team Championship three times[8][11] and the last WCW Cruiserweight Tag Team Championship once with Billy Kidman as part of the Filthy Animals.[8][12]

[edit] Professional wrestling career

[edit] Early career

Oscar Gutierrez was born on December 12, 1974. He was trained by his uncle Rey Misterio Sr. and made his pro debut in 1989. [3] He began a feud with Psicosis using the ring name Colibrí (Spanish for hummingbird). The feud lasted several years, continuing even after Mysterio's career moved to the United States of America.[13].

In Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA) he feuded with Juventud Guerrera, including a tag match with Misterio, Sr. and Misterio, Jr. taking on Juventud and his father Fuerza Guerrera.[14]

After AAA, Rey Mysterio Jr. along with Juventud Guerrera and Psicosis were contacted by Paul Heyman to sign a contract for ECW in the states. Though Rey Mysterio Jr. only had a brief stint in ECW, he had a Mexican Death match with Psicosis that was ranked best match of the year 1995. Mysterio left ECW however to join World Championship Wrestling.

[edit] World Championship Wrestling (1996–2001)

[edit] Cruiserweight division (1996–1998)

Misterio went on to gain fame in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) in 1997, where he was the flagship of the new "Cruiserweight Revolution" in the United States. The spelling of his name was partially anglicized as "Rey Mysterio, Jr." to further market him as a "mystery man". He debuted in WCW at The Great American Bash, challenging Dean Malenko for the WCW Cruiserweight Championship, which Malenko retained by cheating to win.[15] At Bash at the Beach, he defeated longtime rival Psycosis in a number one contender's match to earn a shot at the Cruiserweight Title.[16] The next night on WCW Monday Nitro, he defeated Malenko for his first Cruiserweight Championship, only three weeks after his debut.[17] He reigned as champion for three months, which included title defenses against the likes of Ultimate Dragon,[18] Malenko[19] and Super Calo[20] before he lost the title to Malenko at Halloween Havoc.[21]

After his first Cruiserweight title reign ended, Mysterio began a feud with Ultimate Dragon over Dragon's J-Crown Championship, unsuccessfully challenging him at World War 3.[22] In early 1997, he feuded with Prince Iaukea over the WCW World Television Championship. He challenged Iaukea for the title at SuperBrawl VII, which Mysterio lost after Lord Steven Regal attacked him.[23] Mysterio lost again in a rematch for the title at Uncensored.[24] He had short feuds for the rest of the year before he began a feud with his real-life friend and Cruiserweight Champion Eddie Guerrero. He defeated Guerrero|||looks pretty good just make sure ur teacher doesnt look at wikipedia|||Thats from Wikipedia.

Use your own words.|||This is from Wikipedia.|||Don't think you should just copy from Wikipedia...|||Yeah, I read the whole thing I have alot of time to so I read through it and I'm glad you added his accomplishments. It was a very good one. You must be a Rey Mysterio fan to do all this work and know so much about him. Good one, but did you get this off Wikipedia?|||Yawn ZZzzZZ. Dude you need a girlfriend. You've got way to much time on your hands.|||Wikipedia leaves out details like the fact that he started wrestling at 14 years old, trained with Konnan and a lot of other young men who became top wrestlers in EMLL, CMLL, AAA, Promo Azteca and other wrestling promotions. Wikipeia also left out the great best of 3 series Rey Mysterio, Jr. had with Psychosis in The Original ECW. Too bad Rey did not get to wrestle Jushin Thunder Liger in the 1990's, those would have been matches worth seeing.

Hello everyone,i have a translated problem,i need to translate this short story, please help me?

La danza de los muertos

Mercedes Alba

When only God's sighs are heard in the streets and the northern cold beats against doors and windows, winter arrives to bite the fingers of those alive, and before the semi-open eyes of the snowy orchids and frozen lakes, the dance of the lost souls begins in the sky.

On my calendar, it is November 2. In Mexico, the Day of the Dead is celebrated, and in Egypt, they celebrate the Great Fesast of the kiss of two worlds. Today is the day in which legends drink coffee and have sweet bread in the shape of skulls, and the light pretends to be a lullaby. Today, noone is alone.

In the houses of Laponia, the elderly talk all day with the dancers of the light; it is the day when in the city , the observatory of greatest the aurora borealis opens up. It is said that is a sacred place because for millions of years, the first aurora borealis of the winter appears here.

I don't know where so many people come from, nor the countless rainbows that appear on this night. What is true is that each Nov. 2, is the arrival of the souls covered in a red violet light. My mother says that they are the shadows of those who are still remembered here on Earth; this is how the Ballet of the lights begins, that it opens quickly the eyes of darkness, so that out of its pupils escape the birds of paradise, toucans, the morning lark, owls and the hummingbird, all of which instantly convert this corner of the sky into a concert of color.

My father says that this is the day when those we have lost return, with torches of joy, they come to raise an altar with dances--multicolor, to sit with us, in this sky that is deeper than their absence and which touch with their eyes our cheeks if we cry.

The woman who sells flowers, and my grandmother believe they hear voices of souls, if they hear with their heart. John, the physics teacher says these are just legends to attract more tourism, that the sun flowers that lose their leaves over the skky on this night are not reflecting of God's fingers. What I have seen is that these rainbows that absorb me and sigh through my pores, have arrived from the northern region of the world, from where the dead arrive, navigating calmly in an icebreaker that shows us infinity.|||i don't know all of these words, so i may not be able to help entirely, but if you have a spanish-english dictionary or look one up on the internet, you should be able to catch most of it. in the meantime, i'll translate what i know.

Does anyone know of an entity named 'Karabya/Karabija/Karabia'?

I had an odd dream last night about a figure that told me it's name was Karabya or at least something that sounds like it.

During the rest of my dream it accompanied me in the shape of a colibri-like bird until I woke up.

Question for ruger 10/22 owners?

Has anyone that owns the 10/22 ruger 18 1/2 " barrel shot the .22 LR ammo called Super Colibri .( No gun powder ) Fires from just the primer.

If so have you had any problem with a bullet getting stuck in the barrel or is it pretty safe to shot ? I would like to give them a try but know nothing about them, except that you would have to manually feed them because they only produce approx. 750 FPS.

The .22 shot shells would also be an issue on this question.( safe to shot from the rifle or not ) ?

Any help would be very appreciated.

Thanks|||I would look at .22 lr sub-sonics. These are much quieter than the typical .22 ammo and you don't get that crack of the bullet screaming out of the barrel. This way you don't have to worry about a bullet getting stuck or dealing with loading the rounds manually.|||They will not cycle. They might get stuck. Even if it is a 1% chance, do you you want to play with that? The shot shells will not get stuck. They will not damage the barrel, because lead is much softer than steel. I have seen Colibri (not Super) bullets get stuck in the 16" barrel of a Crickett rifle.

http://web.archive.org/web/2006111401342鈥?/a>|||Go ahead and shoot them. They won't cycle the action, so there's no chance of piling up a bunch of slugs behind a squib in rapid fire. Worst case scenario, you stick a bullet and have to push it out with a rod. The big problem with Super Colibri is that tiny little slug makes it a shorter-than-average round of 22 and 10/22 won't feed them from the magazine. I have to hand load them directly into the chamber (not easy).

I've shot Aguila Super Colibri through my 18.5 barrel and they're actually somewhat loud. They're *much* better through my Marlin 81 with the 23.5 barrel. They really do sound like a pellet pistol when shot from that long barrel. I've shot about 200 rounds through the Marlin so far and none have stuck. I shot 1 round from the Marlin through a chronograph and it scored 562.5 feet per second (20 grain slug).

If you're really concerned about stuck slugs and want more power, I also shot 2 other loads through the chronie. CCI CB Shorts threw a 30 grain slug at 683.4 feet per second. I've read that CCI CB Longs are a little quieter than the CB Shorts, idk why. Remington CBees threw a 40 grain segmented hollowpoint slug at 667.7 feet per second. They are unpleasantly loud even through the 23.5 inch Marlin barrel but they're clearly the best option for pest control.

Help identify this ammo?

I was given some .22lr ammo today by a co-worker who aquired it from another person. we have no real idea what it is, but here's the best description i can give of it. the projectile is lead, not plated and looks the same if not similar at minimum as the aguila super colibri. the bottom of the brass has a stamping of a hummingbird.|||You called it right, it's Aguila and most likely colibri.

http://www.afte.org/ExamResources/galler鈥?/a>|||Probably colibri,I have a box of the stuff a friend gave me.

The ones I have have an A on the bottom of the brass but a humming bird on the box.

The box I have says Aguila Colibri,I have heard people say super colibri, not sure if its a different kind of ammo or what.|||The description of the ammo here, Super Colibris, says that there is a picture of a humming bird on the case head. The Super Colibris that I have have an "A" stamped there, but the box isn't the same as this one.

http://www.gunauction.com/closed/display鈥?/a>|||Cane toad got it right - it is not a hummingbird, it is an eagle stamped on it

Aguila is "eagle" in Spanish|||Remington sometimes has a bee on it. thats all i can think of

Can I fire Subsonic .22 ammo in a handgun made for .22lr?

The gun is a Walther P-22...the cases of the ammo are the same size, but the bullet length is just a little different. Please don't mention .22 Long, short, magnum, ect. because I just need to know about the Subsonic or Aguila Colibri.

I also have some .22 RIM, and .22lr rat shot that I'm wondering about using in my handgun...not sure it's alright when it's not a rifle.

I figure it will work because I do fire .223 out of my AR-15 that is made for the 5.56 and it works just fine.|||I fire subsonic .22LR ammo in a Ruger Mark 3 and a P-22 all the time and have never had any trouble.|||I've never tried the subsonics in my P22 or the Colibri, but i know that the colibri will not cycle the action of the P22. you will have to cycle it by hand. I've shot the CCI shot shells which I think are the same as the rat shot. it also does not cycle the action. The only ammo that works flawlessly in my P22 is Remington gold bullets.|||I've used Remington SubSonic .22LR ammunition in my Marlin Model 60 rifle. It functions properly in my rifle.

You're welcome to try using subsonic ammunition in your Walther P-22. The only way to find out if it will function properly in your handgun is to try it for yourself. It may work well, it may not. It's an experiment.|||IDK about the Walther specifically but if the action is recoil operated, which most semi-auto pistols are ( as opposed to gas operated ), it will probably not generate enough recoil to cycle the action. And what would be the sense in a semi-auto pistol that wasn't semi-auto?|||yes but it will not cycle your action and make sure when you shoot it, your barrel is dry, otherwise the casing is kind of hard to get out, i do not know about .22 RIM, and rat shot should be close up and personal and will not work to far away|||Yes you can but you will have to pull back the slide after every round to eject the case and chamber a new round, the sub sonic ammo doesn't have enough recoil to do that.|||That gun only works with high velocity ammo.

Honestly my Bersa 22 (walther ppk/s clone) can fire CCI standard velocity which is in fact subsonic. I suggest you try any ammo but your better off with high/hyper velocity.|||yes but you will have to operate the slide by hand. i only shoot subsonic .22lr ammo from my bolt action rifles.|||Lower power loads may fail to operate the slide properly.|||yes you can, depending on the ammo it may more may not cycle the action though.

Remington Subsonic is a subsonic round that still manages to cycle most semiautomatics such as the Ruger 10/22 %26amp; Marlin 60 rifles, and my Phoenix HP22 pistol.

all the other subsonic rounds I shoot does not cycle the action, you'll have to cycle it manually.

.22 ratshot is useless out of a rifle, it'll be more useless out of a pistol. the cartridge is the same dimensions and spec as a .22LR round. except it will not cycle the action.

it doesn't really make sense to shoot subsonics out of a pistol anyway, the short barrel still results in a loud bang, considerably louder than if I was to shoot the same round out of a bolt action rifle.

Do you often change your mind?

I have, or should I say had, this strong aversion against tattoos and now I am going to have two tattoos. They are small ones, a butterfly and a Colibri just above the bikini line and I am very excited about it. It's all because my new G/F begged me to have them. She even asked me to have a third one on the inside of my thigh. I haven't decided on what it should be. Any suggestions? I still don't like the huge tatts.|||what about some symbol that shows your love for her, but only the pair of you understand.

by that i mena, avoid tattooing her name on your thigh, but what about her name in a chinese character, or her favourite flower or something??

tattoo's are great, but im a firm beleiver in only getting them somewhere that you can cover them up eventually. can you imagine being a 90 year old with two full length sleeve tattoos???|||No. It has happened sometimes, and probably will happen again in the future, but it is not by any standards a frequent occurrence.

"It's all because my new G/F begged me to have them."

*Face-palms*.

That's an absolutely horrible reason! If you want to get a tattoo, it should be because that is what YOU want! Not because somebody else convinced you to! Really, how stupid are you? What's going to happen, say, five years down the line when this new girlfriend of yours might no longer be your girlfriend at all, and you'll be stuck with those tattoos regardless? What if you won't like them anymore, either because they'll remind you of her or because of your previous aversion against tattoos? THEN what?

Okay, I'll just shut my trap and quietly disappear, now.|||dude are u sayin that this gf is makin u to do something u dont want to?? come on if u don't like to have tatts y do u make urslef then?? jus becuz of her?? i dont think u know what u're doin cuz it's ur own body n if u like not to have one, then don't do it! not even small one! cuz im totally sure after a while u'd be sorry for what you've done n at that time there wouldn't be this girl with u to make u feel u've got these tatts for a gud romantic reason!!|||And when you split up you will always have the tattoos.

If you can not have them for yourself then you should not bother , unless you are simply crying out for acceptance.

[="Oops!"=]|||I tend to be of the camp there is nothing like a completely natural person. No fake trimmed hair down there, no waxed legs, no pierced body parts. and absolutely no tats.

Torch lighter in check bag?

Getting ready to travel to Vegas and would like to bring my torch lighter with me on the trip. I have seen a carrying case by Colibri called Tranzpack. Has anyone used this with out any problems?

I have checked TSA web site and it states not torch lighters. Nothing mentioned about being in a proper carrying case and check in with bags.

As you know the government information is not always clear and I am just trying to get the right picture.|||Hmmm, The websites that sell that case claim that it has been approved for carrying torch lighters in checked bags. I suppose that you have to take their word for it, given that both the TSA and FAA pages that talk about lighters both still say no torch lighters at all.

Do they have a money back guarantee? Will they replace your lighter if the TSA takes it away?

EDIT:

If you are not traveling right away, you could try contacting the TSA themselves to see what the person on the other end says about these carriers.

There is an on-line contact form:

How to set up font and type in Outlook 2010?

hello, have a nice day wherever you may be..

My question today relates to the set up of Office 2010

Every time I try to send a message with Outlook 2010 (or to write a document with Word 2010) I get the Colibri typeface and a font size that I do not like.

I would like the typeface offered to always be arial and the size to be 12

How could one achieve this (either from the Microsoft Office 2010 link at start up or from the Word or Outlook link) ?

Thanks a lot for your help|||Hi, it should be File tab -%26gt;Options -%26gt; Mail -%26gt; Stationery and Fonts...

I keep fighting with my dad in my dreams...interpretations please?

alot of times ive had dreams where im arguing with my father and wanting to leave my home in my dreams a recent one i actually did it was kind of like right ive had enough im leaving now arguement with him in my dream. Why do i keep dreaming this??

also last nights dream was my dad was trying to buy me some gold watch in a jewellery shop but i kept refusing to accept it as i didnt want it. There was one gold watch which he showed me and said "there, thats nice" it was kind of like an old watch like from the 60's or something. Like you know it wasnt really a watch cos it wasnt one that u can place around your wrist it was like erm one that has kind of like a chain. lets just say a miniature carrying clock

just have a look at this: it was something like this but for men

http://www.airwatches.com/thumbs/colibri_colibri_nurse_s_watch_pin_pwl-95557-y.jpg

help please!|||You are at a stage in your life where you are trying to assert your independence. The arguing with your father has more to do with becoming your own person (cutting the umbilical cord) than anything else. Your father wants to give you something precious - the benefit of his experience (the gold watch), but you see his advice and experience as kind of old-fashioned and you don't want to take it. You want to experience life on your own terms, in today's world, with more modern values. The watch also has to do with timing: it is time for you to move from childhood to adulthood. Just don't cut your dad off. He only wants the best for you and sometimes it's just hard for parents to let go and let their adult children learn things on their own. Those lessons we learn on our own stick better than those that someone tells us about.|||I guess from your words that you are still living at home with your parents/dad. I'd say you have a strong desire to live your own life, but, whether he is vocal or not, your dad influences you too much for your own comfort. The watch represents his offering you the comfort of staying home, (nice gift, showing he can take care of you), but the watch also represents time. Both the difference between generations attitudes, and the time for you to leave the nest.

The argument doesn't mean you don't love him, or are arguing in reality, only that you don't want to stay under his control any longer. Time to make your own life.|||well, it could mean that you are really struggling inside about the concept of moving out and being on your own. It is kind of a scary concept for you to move out and be on your own. That clock could symbolize time... the time you have left to stay.

another meaning it might have is that you are really having a hard time with a particular problem and you are trying to restle it and bring it down in your mind.

dreams are usually your subconscious thoughts and feelings surfacing as symbols in a visual way. Its your body's way of working through problems and stuff... kind of like a built-in counselor. maybe you should try to look at the individual things, small and big in your dream and look at the hidden meaning. look hard enough, and i promise it will be found.

Hope this helps!|||You are at war with your father in your walking life .but you are a very angry young man and you need some professional help a thing that I am sure you will not do ; because you are not ready to get to the bottom of this pail who is full of resentment but my advice is this one move from your fathers place

Tatoo Advice Please.........?

Hi. I've wanted to get a tattoo for a long time but first I want to hear from someone who has already gotten one. What are the cons, any risks? I don't really need any pros because I have a lot of reasons of my own as to why I think that it's a good idea - although I won't hold it against you if you tell me why you got yours %26amp;/or what you like about it. And people who have had anything bad happen as a result of their tattoo please tell me about it. Also, if there鈥檚 any place [on the east coast of the U.S.] that does tattoos that you know of would be nice. Any information or experience that you're willing to share on this subject would be helpful.

And please don鈥檛 judge me for wanting to get a tattoo if it鈥檚 against your religion or something [operative word being YOUR]. I don鈥檛 need anyone coming on here insulting me %26amp; if you鈥檙e going to try to come on here and do that then you shouldn鈥檛 even bother wasting your time. I do not respond to disrespect %26amp; really it shows what kind of person you are.

I just like to express myself and I feel that getting a tattoo is another way to do that. I want a tattoo of the colibri. I just feel that there鈥檚 something so majestic about that bird and it represents a lot for me.

I just want some genuine answers from people who are trying to be helpful.|||First make sure that the studio you choose has a working an autoclave (sterilizer) AND that they follow all of the guidelines for sterilization. Your tattoo artist should change his/her gloves a bunch of times during the process. Bring candy with you to keep your blood sugar stable. As for reasons not to get tattooed:

- Some people are allergic to the type of ink that is used (very rare).

- They take time to heal so if you get yours in a place that your body bends it will hurt when you move. I had mine done on my pelvis so whenever I bent down it hurt for the first week.

- A good tattoo can be very expensive.

- If you don鈥檛 do your research you can be left with a really poor tattoo. Make sure you check out a few studios and talk to several artists before you decide where to go. They will help you to finalize a design too.

- If you are a bleeder (or have taken aspirin, Tylenol, Ibuprofen before going) your tattoo will scab a lot more than normal which can result in some ink loss while healing. When scabs fall off the ink will go with it BUT good artists will do touch-ups free of charge.

Overall, it鈥檚 a great experience so enjoy yourself and your new tattoo!|||NO TRIBAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! find an amazing tattoo artist, not good, not o.k. but amazing tattoo artist and go for it. do something that is very personal to you. child or parents names are a good start. no disney or looney tunes type tats either. if you know someone that has a beautiful tattoo ask them who did it. look up names in magazines of artists in your area.|||i have two.one on my shoulder and one i would need a Brazilian wax for you to see.the sad part is the one on my shoulder hurt more. the only con i can think of is improperly maintained equipment.you could catch anything from hepatitis to H I V from unclean needles.|||Just make sure that it's a decision that you want to stick with is my advice. My partner has two tattoos. one is a band of roses that goes completely around her upper arm. She hates that one cause the guy that did it screwed up. he tried to freehand it and when he go to where the two sides should have met he was off by about 2 inches, so on the outside of her arm (which is what everyone sees) there is a big diagonal line of roses and it looks pretty bad. Not to mention that the green in has spread beyond the outline of the tattoo so now there is a 4 inch band of green skin around her 1 inch wide tattoo. The other one is on her ankle and she decided to try to remove it herslef... BAD IDEA!!! she cut her self and then poured bleach in it to get rid of the ink. she's lucky she didn't get sick. now that one looks all messed up...|||This one girl in my HS she got a tattoo and she died.|||I got my first tat about 2 years ago and I never regretted getting it. You really have to think about what you want and be sure that's what you realllllly want. Don't go to a place just because they're cheap because the artists that charge a bit more tend to have more credibility. Placement of tattoos are important too. If you have a professional job or interact with customers a lot, your employer or potential employers will have you cover it up or won't hire you because of it so just be thoughtful of where you put it.

Make sure your artist is not high...mine was stinking of weed...thank goodness it came out pretty good.|||I was gonna tell you that there is a tattoo section, but I think you know that already! My advice is to go over there!

Sorry for the confusion!|||Make sure you have seen work from the artist, not just on paper, an actual tattoo. Some fade fast, others peel so your left with a tattoo that you cant tell what it is. Mine got infected the first time. I have a sparrow that peeled some, even though i put the tattoo cream. good luck!

What firearm (pistol or rifle) caliber makes the lowest noise?

I am looking for something to shoot in my backyard without bothering my neighbors.....

I heard rifles makes less noise because of the longer barrel. I heard .22 short are the smallest caliber so shouldn't it make the least noise?

I also heard of something called the aguila colibri .22 long rifle caliber which contains no gun powder and has 20 grains.....but they are only for handguns (revolvers and not for semi autos).

I want to know which makes less noise when shot.....a rifle with a long barrel shooting a .22 short OR a handgun (revolver) shooting an aguila colibri .22 lr?

Also I want to know.....since the aguila colibri .22 lr caliber bullet is not for semi auto pistols and only for revolvers....just want to know can it be used in a ruger 10/22 charger? its the pistols that looks like a rifle but shortened into a pistol....

10 points for best answer|||I live just inside the city limits, with plenty of space to shoot in to my back yard, please no comments on my safety. I use CCI sub-sonic hollow points for varmint control. they sound like a loud cap gun, but i never sit out there and run through a box at a time, just one or two shots. my neighbors know i do this but I still don't want to draw attention. oh yea in a ruger 10-22 and they cycle the action fine|||the quietest cartridge I could think of would be the .22 bb cap, basically a .22 caliber ball seated in a percussion cap, the ball doesn't even break 700 fps from what I heard, so it's likely the quietest cartridge in the world, especially if you'd use a silencer, would just sound like a pellet gun due to the firing pin.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.22_BB

in this picture, the .22 LR is the middle right, the .22 short is the middle left and .22 bb caps on each side.

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ICuLB148bJU/SE鈥?/a>|||Stay away from the Aquila ammo. I use it in my standard 10/22 and have nothing but misfires with it. I also grouped about 10 different brands of ammo in my gun. Aquila was the worst. CCI minimags had the smallest group.

For fun, I shoot CCI CB caps in my 10/22. It's a 22 long with a primer charge only. Very quiet. Won't cycle the gun though. Cabela's sells it. Velocity is around 900 fps.|||Just get a pellet gun. Shooting a firearm within 200m of a residence or City road is illegal.|||Illegal to shoot ANY firearm in you back yard within the city limits.|||.22 CB Cap. Great for urban hunting.|||doesn't matter how quiet is it safe to shot in your back yard?|||Aguila also makes Super Colibri, which is a powderless .22 designed for use in rifles. I shoot these in my house, and the noise from the firearm is less than that of a spring-pistol air pistol. You literally can't hear the shot in an adjacent room!

I have 2 rifles that I use with the Super Colibri. One is a single-shot bolt action. The other is a Henry lever action. Henry rifles are designed to work with both long and short .22 cartridges. I can put 20 shells in the tube and have a lot of fun with my indoor shooting gallery!

Even the Super Colibri will not operate a semi auto.

Also, before you try loading multiple rounds in any gun, make sure that the action was designed to cycle the short cartridges. You can end up with a nasty jam otherwise.

A rifle with the Super Colibri is far quieter than a handgun with Colibri. It is the quietest combination I have found so far without resorting to a sound suppressor.

Super Aguila is much quieter than CCI's CB, btw, I have both, shoot both, and promise you that there is no comparison. CB sounds like a gunshot, Super Aguila sounds like a whisper.|||If it was safe, and legal, to discharge a firearm in your back yard - why worry about noise?

The Ruger 10/22 rifle and Charger pistol are designed to operate with 22 long rifle cartridges only. Yes, you can hand load a CB cap, short or long, but, it will not eject or load a second round automatically.

What you want are called CB caps. These are the quietest rouds in 22.

FYI, nothing stops you from removing pulling the bullet of a 22 carefully, dumping the powder into your hand, and putting back 30% - just slide the brass across the power and grab some, but, not all. You then manually insert the projectile into the chamber, and then the brass. This is the quick and dirty way to make a 22 quiet. You do run the off chance of getting a bullet stuck in the barrel, so, have a cleaning rod handy - used to do this all the time as a kid. Never got a round stuck in the barrel.

Good luck.|||actually the longer the barrel the more noise it will make because of the slow powder burn and pressure build up behind the bullet.

.22 cb's have the least noise and velocity so they are safe. however no semi auto will be able to cycle them so you will need either a revolver or bolt action rifle

keep in mind though, in most municipalities it is a felony to discharge a firearm within city limits, or to discharge into a municipalitie

most lr's will still have a sonic crack from breaking the sound barrier, so to eliminate that you need subsonic ammo or shoot cb shorts. but still no semiauto can cycle them

Need not-so-loud 22lr ammo?

Hi guys, I have some neighbors at my ranch who don't appreciate loud noises like guns. Anywho, I have a Marlin 925 bolt action and use Super Colibri 500fps ammunition but it doesn't travel that far. I don't like the CCI CB because they are don't feed into my gun to well. Any ideas on good 22lr ammunition for target practice/varmit shooting that isn't TOO loud? Thanks.|||Try the sub-sonics from Remington. they are quieter than a regular .22. I haven't had a problem with them feeding in the auto loader and the bolt guns that i have.|||If you have a ranch...and you own it...there isn't really anything you can do as long as you are not violating sound laws (which I doubt there are in the country)....they can call the cops on you but all the cops can do is ask you to tone it down a bit....any .22 shouldn't really be loud at all.....and if you have a lot of land by the time it gets to your neighbor with will be quieter...I can see no reason why your neighbor would complain about what you do on your land...not like your shoot of artillery shells or something...the only thing I can think of to make your .22 quieter is a suppressor....you have to pay a federal fine on it but it would work..|||CCI CB .22 Long feeds just fine in my marlin 925. they're a bit hard to find, you might have to order online.

its VERY quiet. I can shoot those in my suburban backyard and the neighbors don't mind. and you're at a ranch! which I'm assuming is much more open and larger than a 1/9th acre house. it sounds just like a BB gun.|||You need to get a bigger ranch if you are bothering your neighbors with a .22 lr. I just have a small family farm and shoot up to .30-06 without bothering neighbors. Anything less than a .50 bmg would work where I live.|||Pay a one time federal tax for a suppressor permit. Then shoot all you want. Any subsonic ammo will be under 1000 fps and wont travel far, especially a light .22 bullet.|||I'm a legal NFA Suppressor owner.

You will want to use Remington 'Subsonics' - these travel less than 1050fps and do not creat the ballistic crack that your neighbors are probably hearing. The noise from the muzzle is not too bad at all with these.

22lr suppressors use a standard 1/2-28tpi threads like the muzzle of the AR-15/M16. These suppressors come in $250 for the Mighty Mite ( a solid welded can) and up to $425 for the much better SWR 'Spector' that is totally disassembles for cleaning. You do pay the $200 one time transfer fee and the paperwork takes about 3-5 months. I have the Spector - it works on 22lr, 17hmr, and the new 5.7x28mm.

You should buy a suppressor. That $200 tax was 3 months pay for the average worker when they invoked it in 1934. If the Democrates ever figure out how many suppressors have been sold in the last year - no doubt that tax would jump to $14,000 in a pen stroke.

Some 22 rifles are easy to attach a suppressor. The Ruger 10/22 you can buy aftermarket barrels with the proper threads - normally used for muzzle brakes. The Walther P-22 pistol can accept a suppressor using a $14 adapter availble on ebay. It will probably cost you $125 to have your current rifle's barrel cut back to where it is thick enough to thread ......... so, it's more cost effective to simply buy a used or new Ruger 10/22.

You could also take an AR-15 and use the Ceiner 22 conversion. These have a 1:9 twist barrel and Aguila makes a special subsonic 60gr round for this application. Regular 22 ammo is 32-38gr - this stuff twice the weight and packs a nice whollop. If you bought a heavy 223 suppressor - you could put the Ceiner kit and not worry about accidentally firing a 223 and destroying a 22lr can. I have put the Ceiner kit + my 223 suppressor and they make an awesome combo - all you hear is the little tinkle of the brass ejecting and the 'thud' of the bullet striking.

Just track down your local Class 3 dealer if you have any questions. I wish I had bought my suppressors 30 years ago - I would not have to wear hearing aids today.

Good Luck.

Butane lighter issue?

I have an old Colibri lighter, and I recently filled it up with butane that I bought from my hardware store, it was called Benz O Matic, whenever I light it, a flame quickly bursts up and then stops, but butane continues to come out. It there a problem with my lighter, or is it just bad butane?|||try turning it up, try it, if it doesn't work, turn it down. keep fiddling with the flame adjustment until it lights.

What lighter should i buy?

im looking for a on disposable lighter with a jet blue flame, soft flame, and visible fuel gauge. something kind of like the colibri morpheus but with a fuel gauge and smaller if possible|||If it's CHEAP and DISPOSABLE...

... it' doesn't matter.

FWIW, I cannot recommend Colibri lighters.

I've had a couple of their expensive (over $100) lighters, and they won't much past their 1 year factory warranty. The butane dissolves the rubber "O"-rings (gaskets) and they fail.

On the other hand, I'm very proud of my collection of Zippo lighters.

Torch Lighter Butane?

I just bought a torch lighter, it says to use Colibri Premium butane. Do I have to use that brand or can I use Multi Purpose Butane that I got at walmart for a dollar.|||You can use the Wal-Mart kind... it's like when a recipe on a product calls for Brand X baking soda or whatever. Colibri wants to sell their lighter fluid for their lighters.

Pocket Watch Heirloom?

I want to buy a pocket watch that I can pass on to the next generation. I like the looks of the Colibri and Charles-Hubert brands. Will these type of watches $100-$200 last, or do you need to buy one of the $1500 watches from 200 years ago?|||For heirloom quality, you should probably skip Colibri and Charles Hubert. They will either be quartz movements which have a limited life or have a chinese mechanical movement that will break quickly.

There are a few companies that make some nice pocket watches new. Look at Jean Marcel, Dolan Bullock, Hamilton, and Tissot. They all have some respectable offerings.

Marty, I have that exact watch you are looking for!!!!?

Colibri, 17 stone, locomotive on back of it etc etc etc..everything that you asked...I have had it for years!!! I have no idea what its worth but it has red rubies inside, swiss made...|||Rubies are red by definition, otherwise they are called sapphires. In fact they are not natural gemstones but are artificially made, and have been for over a hundred years. They are virtually valueless, but their hard, durable surfaces are used to prevent wear and tear in mechanical watches. 17 jewels means it is fully jewelled, i.e. all the basic hard wearing parts use artificial jewels.

Colibri is an American luxury goods brand. The timepiece probably dates back to the sixties or seventies when Swiss movements were used in most watches but it is of no particular rarity or value. Regularly serviced it will probably last for years.

How many decibels do these .22 revolver bullets have?

super colibri, short, long, and hollow point|||You won't get a precise answer, since it depends mostly on the specific gun you are shooting out of, and since not many people spend the time to measure how loud a .22 is. The shape of the bullet will not make any significant difference. I would estimate that you are looking at about 110-125 dB for a 6" .22 revolver.|||Hi

They all generate the same sound pressure level, zero.

If you don't understand my answer, go and learn what you are asking.

If you don't understand the instruction above, think about it, maybe you will learn.

On a practical point, revolvers in 22 do not take cartridges that are specific, the same can be used in rifles and pistols. The report of a gun is dependent on the length of the barrel, in especial in 22s as the powder will completely combust in the barrel of rifle and then the pressure will be dropping.|||I am going to assume that you want to know if they will hurt your hearing. My answer is YES!

Don't even THINK about shooting any of these without hearing protection. Decibel measurement are tricky. If you look at the pressure wave on a time scale, gunshots have a very sharp rise which will fool many instruments because the peak lasts for a very short time. The instruments are designed for continuous noise and do not necessarily register the tallest peak. However, your ears WILL suffer damage during those peaks.

I have heard many old shooters say, "It used to bother me, but I'm used to it now." That is because their hearing is damaged and the pain is gone.

I shoot longs and shorts in a bolt action rifle with hearing protection because I don't want to miss out on the gentle voices of my grandchildren as they play.|||Colibri are very quiet, 500 ft per second, I've shot squirrels with the next door neighbor out swimming in their pool and they never heard them, less noise than a screen door closing.

No gun powder just a overdosed primer load....I was not aware they made them in a LR however, or shorts for that matter, all I have ever purchased is longs...of which I've purchased 8 bricks 8000 rounds....they perform well in a urban area, a tad dirty but not corrisive.

I shoot mine out of a Armsco auto loader Rifle, have have to hand feed each round as there is not enough pressure to cycle the bolt. Very Very accurate to 75 feet, I have shot spent Colibri casings at that range witha 9x Weaver scope mounted to the rifle.|||I can tell you that the long rifles i shoot from an old stevens bolt action rifle wont activate my electronic ear muffs that dampen sound at 80 decibels.|||With reference to what ?

A decibel is a mathematical ratio. Without a reference it is meaningless.

Could I Kill A Deer With .22 Super Colibris?

I have .22 super colibri rounds in a pistol. If I shot the deer through the eye with it would it kill it?|||honestly 22 lr probably has put alot more deer in the freezer than one might realize. Its proabably a poachers go to rifle for deer. If you hit a deer right a 22 can deffinitely kil it. If you know someone that hunts deer and they shoot a doe see if you can take the head of the doe to do a test to see if the 22lr will penetrate the deers skull.I think its possible it might just do it. I would try this test at no farther thatn 50 yards. I may just do this test myself as well. I wan to see what its postential is in home defense like if my girlfriend had to use 22lr on a intruder what it would do. Shooting a deer skull with skin on it would be a descent observation of this i think.

good luck|||To shoot a deer with a .22 would be illegal, inhumane and irresponsible.|||No. If you did, you'd have to be very close to even have a chance at shooting the the deer. However, by asking questions like this, the deer would hear your stupidity from a mile a way.|||no, not even a .22 magnum if put anywhere else besides the head, and in this case it would be inhumane, ruin your trophy, harder to hit in the head, and even then the deer will still probably run about 70000yards|||At 11 ft lbs of energy and 500 fps, you would have to hit it straight on thru the eye and even then, I doubt the deer would die, just be injured. The Super Colibri is basically a BB on steroids. I wonder if it would even be effective on squirrels beyond 20 yards or so.

To even attempt this would be asinine. It is cruel and disrespectful to the animal. If you want to hunt deer, do it right and legally.|||there are way too many "if's" in that question for me to say yes.

so don't even think about actually tring to kill a deer with that little pee-shooter.

but theoretically it should do the trick.|||you can kill a cow with a .22 caliber, so, you can kill a deer with a .22 caliber, but don't do it, and just because you can doesn't mean it's ethical

shooting a deer with any type of .22 is illegal anyways

you CAN kill a cow with a .22- i've seen it done before

but it has to be a head shot and VERY VERY VERY accurate for both|||If shot in the right place you COULD kill the deer. However, it is much more likely that you would injure the deer and cause needless suffering. In most places using a .22 on a deer is illegal. If it it is allowed, it is not ethical or responsible. It is just plain cruel.|||Let me put it this way: From five feet out of my Mk-II it barely went into an very old and soft cedar fence board deep enough for the bullet base to not protrude.

Given that result I doubt if even shot into the eye the bullet would make it into the cranial cavity and do lethal damage on the spot. Most likely result would be death due to infection of the wound.|||Yes it would kill it and you would go to jail for poaching. It is illegal to take a deer with a .22 except in state sanctioned and supervised predation hunts. In NM you get a 5 year sentence mandatory, they take your gun, vehicle, and it you took it home they take your house. Does that get your attention? If not you are mentally incompetent and should not be in procession of any kind of a firearm.|||Most likely, yes. I just killed two big coons with Super Colibri POWDERLESS rounds with pointed 20 grain projectiles. Both were it between the eyes from a good distance (30 or so feet away, and 25 or so feet up in a tree), and both died instantly.

Where I live, this method of taking falls within regulations, during legal fur-bearer season and "pursuit with hounds", as my dog had treed them. It's legal to use a .22 LR here on coons, and no one ever though to put anything in the regulations about powderless rounds. Besides, I have used them enough to know they work well, and shot them enough to be able to hit a nickel at 25 yards nearly 100% of the time.

However, I think we all know that this is a theoretical question...or fantasy....that you couldn't possibly be planning this. I defer back to all the people who have warned you about the illegality of this for further reference.|||.22 is not a legal caliber for hunting deer.

.22 is not a humane or ethical caliber to use for hunting deer.

is it a guarantee that it would kill the deer? no

shoot safe

I have a butane lighter, but when I press the button no gas comes out. It sparks, and has fuel in tank. ideas?

It is a colibri lighter and I really don't want to trash it. I tried cleaning i out with canned air, but no luck. I have check sparke and when I press the pin on the bottom, gas escapes.|||empty the entire gas tank, then refill it again. wait about 5 min and try to light it. you should hear a hissing sound that means you have enough gas coming out. not too loud of a hissing sound because that might blow out the flame as it's trying to light. you need a good mixture of the right gas for proper ignition. since you said that there's a spark, it should light. oh and make sure the spark is consistant so it doesn't miss fire. if it's still not working then something is wrong with that butane gas, try another brand. maybe it's not refined. get butane gas that are triple or ultra refined.

What is some quiet ammo for the Mossberg 802 Plinkster rifle?

i need some quiet ammo for this rifle becuase of where im shooting it i was looking at the colibri ammo so im getting some of that but i also want some ammo that can go through the magazine as well while being quiet and this all is a .22 cal rifle|||visit www.cheaperthandirt.com for tons of ammo. Here's some Aguila that would probably do nicely.

http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/AMM057-5.鈥?/a>

If that's too expensive I'm sure they have something else. Remember, subsonic ammo isn't completely silent, as that would be illegal.|||well the quietest way to go would be some .22 shorts...but u would probably have to single load those since they are shorter than the .22lr that ur magazine is designed for.....

** btw even "quiet" ammo still makes noise and will get u arrested if u are in city limits.......so why do u need to be quiet??|||Use CB Shorts. They sound like a weak hand clap. You have to shoot them one at a time because the powder sharge is too weak to cycle an auto-loader.|||colibris will work in the magazine of any .22LR, your just going to need to operate the action manually since the colibris don't have the power to operate the action, preferably from the shortest barrel possible, since you don't want to end up with a squib or a shot which doesn't leave the barrel, if you know I mean.

Is this cigar humidor worth the price?

the one on the right on the first row (colibri humidors)

http://www.cigarboxinc.com/Humidors/Humi鈥?/a>

the details

http://www.cigarboxinc.com/Humidors/HUD0鈥?/a>

Thanks!|||Seems OK to me. Colibri in general has a pretty good rep. If you look at humidors in person, the main thing to check for is a good, tight fitting lid. Open the humidor and then very gently close the lid. The lid should NOT close completely under its own weight. A very well made humidor will have a lid fit so perfectly it takes a slight push to seal the lid down all the way.

Miami, with it's Cuban heritage, should have dozens of good tobacco shops where you can buy one in person. Exotic woods drive prices up fast. Check for fit and finish, then get a good humidifier element and a digital guage.

But heck, in Miami cigars should need little, if any, extra humidification.|||Sorry, Can't help you!

Besides, to me, cigars are just coffin spikes, as far as I'm concerned!

Cigar smokers, Should I buy a Butane or Fluid Lighter?

I bought a Colibri Lighter that is now broken. It won't light. Colibri is out of business and no one seems to be willing to repair them.

I an thinking of buying a new lighter. My experience with butane thus far has been negative. Should I buy a fluid next time?|||Neither. Any cigar afficiando will tell you that a good cigar should be lit with a match. If that's not possible, get a torch type lighter, and hold it perpendicular (that's a 90 degree angle) to the length of the cigar and just barely burn the end, rotating it. Wait for it to glow, and take the flame away before drawing on the cigar.|||Butane

How can i make my butane lighter last?

i like butane lighters but the dozens i have purchased in the past (ranging from $4 to $80) stop working after i refill them. ot the first time but after three or for refils they sop working. i have heard it depends on the quality of the butane but i have used colibri brand butane (i have heard it is of the purest quality) and still found the same problem. any advice? or do these things just not work long term?|||I think most of them are made to be disposable. You might check on line for reviews, and be willing to spend a bit more for the best quality. Or try the other lighters that use fluid instead. My mom has a Zippo that is as old as I am!

Live well and do good|||I have an HONEST torch lighter from dealextreme...refilled many times also has a flame option (you can use it as a torch or a normal lighter) for only 10.66 US.

Does anyone expirienced think that that .22 lr Aguila Super Colibri ammo will hurt my ruger 10/22?

I know it may sound dumb but I just want to make sure before I use it. The ruger 10/22 is semi-auto, and these rounds fire from only the primer (advertised as very quiet, and can be used in home) These rounds do not have enough power to cycle the next round through, could this hurt my gun at all? also would it be better to only put one round in at a time instead of filling the clip. Please only people who know what they are talking about. Thank you.|||These often are called cb's or caps. Yes you can use them one at a time in your 10/22. You will simply have to manually cycle the bolt to eject and load. Your mag may work if you manually cycle the bolt and you don't get jams. If jamming occurs, simply use the single shot method without mag.|||You won`t have any problems. You will have to cycle the action manually for each shot. Won`t hurt a thing. Iv`e done it hundreds of times in mine.|||Won't hurt the gun, but be careful. If these are on the LR case, as you indicated, you merely have to hand cycle the action. If they are on a .22 short, you can get into all manner of grief. Watch that case length, please.|||Won't hurt the gun, but make sure the bullet exits the barrel each time. It's recommended for handguns only, but the 10/22 has a pretty short barrel.|||I bought some about a year ago and about half of it wouldn't work I returned the brick to the place I bought it from. To give it a fair chance I tried it in several different guns Do your self a favor and buy the CCI CB caps in long rifle|||Like Jennifer said, Super Colibri is recommended for handguns. I'd use it anyway, but...

Be sure that each bullet exits the barrel, no joke. Most will come out of the barrel at 500 fps, but you can get a weak primer. If so, you will be pushing the bullet out with a rod. To make life easier, lube the barrel in front of the bullet that you are pushing out.

This ammo won't damage your gun.

I'd just load up a full magazine and cycle the rifle by hand. The 10/22 is a pain to load one by one, into the chamber.|||Super Colibri ammo is marked for use in pistols. In a longer rifle barrel, there's apparrently a risk that the bullet may get stuck in the barrel. (Personally I don't know that I buy that theory, but I want to make sure you know that the manufacturer things there is a risk of it.) You've already figured out its not going to cycle the action. And since Super Colibri rounds use the .22 short case... Its not likely to work in the magazine if a .22 short won't reliably feed in the magazine.

If you simply want a really quiet .22 round which is safe for use in a rifle chambered for .22LR, I think you'd be better off getting the CCI CB Long. The case length is the same as a .22LR round, but the bullet is the .22 short's. (This removes the issue of leading/fouling in the chamber and throat erosion.) Muzzle velocity and energy are a bit higher than the Super Colibri (at around 700 fps and 30 fpe). It still won't cycle a semi-automatic, but at least you won't have to worry about it getting stuck in the barrel.|||noop|||no i didnt use ever, i dont know

Colibri Lighter won't stay lit?

I've tried emptying it, refilling it, turning the flame up, and turning it down and it wont work. It's a firebird, idk if that makes a difference. I just bought it 2 days ago. the tank is full and it won't stay lit for more than a quarter of a second. Sometimes it will, and it will for about 3 lights, then it stops again. and whats more, because I couldn't really find the perfect screwdriver, the grips for the screwdriver around the edge of the filling thing are worn a good bit. what do i do to make it work consistently?|||try putting your hand over the flame (not in it) that keeps the oxygen in the flame. My dad is a hardcore smoker... so trust me i know!

Question about really old 22 short revolver?

The other day I came across a H%26amp;R Young America 7 shot 22 short revolver,I cleaned it up real nice and I shot it.The only kind of bullets I used was 22 Colibri no gun powder bullets.Would it be safe to use regular 22 shot ammo? And about how much is it worth? It is nickle plated and is in fair condition.||| I wouldn't hesitate to fire standard ammo.I don't recall ever hearing of a .22 rimfire rupturing. Not enough pressure in the chamber.Be

cautious. As for value,in good condition, about $85.00 U.S. {According to my 2006 edition "Standard Catalog of Firearms Price%26amp;reference guide" Made from1884 to1941,approximately1.5 million. It is valued as follows:

Excellent=$125.00

Very Good=$100.00

Good=$85.00

Fair=$65.00

Source: Gun Digest book of guns and prices 2008 edition.

** If it is marked .22 short, than DO NOT attempt to fire .22 long rifle in it, either slug or shot shell.

As noted these revolvers where mass produced, low cost, and have little collector value. But it seems like as I was growing up, every household had one of them in it.

Shoot safe|||I wouldn't use .22 LR ammo as you have already stated that it is a .22 Short. It should be safe with .22 Short ammo. Shot shells? I don't think they are made in .22 Short. If they are then it would be safe to use them in a revolver chambered for .22 Short ammo.

H%26amp;R revolvers are not top-of-the-line although they are practical and utilitarian. I'd say you have a nice plinker that can double as a handy handgun for dispatching small vermin. The .22 Short can inflict up to life-ending injuries on a person so treat it as you would any other firearm.

Value: Let's say that $150. is a very generous offer. If you are offered that much grab the money but practically I'd say a revolver like this is worth maybe fifty dollars.
