I know of Colibri of London, but I saw a lighter recently that had a stamp on the bottom saying Colibri Japan. It has the same insignia on the front of the lighter as the other Colibri brand. The lighter looked pretty old.|||http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=Colibri鈥?/a>
The link shows there are a number of VINTAGE COLIBRI JAPAN LIGHTERS like you describe.
So at one point, Colibri made lighters in Japan.
Whether the one you have is a replica or not, can't tell - you need to take it to a professional
