I recently bought a 1950s-60s Colibri lighter at an antique auction, and I have no clue as to how to refill it. Once taken out of its shell, there are three circles on the bottom: a flame reducer/increaser, the flint spring and a 2cm circle with a tiny, cylindrical prong in the center. Now, the 2cm circle is obviously the petrol refill, but which kind of petrol do I need? Where can I get it? How do I refill it?|||I Had one of those sounds just the same but it is a gas lighter
buy a can of gas the type which gives a choice of adaptors usually with a picture on the side of the can select the right one hold the can upside down offer the nozzel to the lighter and press the lighter will fill
I still use to this day a Cilibri petrol lighter, it must be 30 yers old and still works every time good luck|||Wow they were the rolls royce of lighters. The filler cap should screw off to allow the petrol to pour on to the cotton wool wadding which soaks it up and holds it as a type of reservoir. Any good tobacconists ( and they're still around ) will sell either tins or rubber capsules ( you cut the end off ) of lighter petrol. Don't use ordinary petrol as it will be too coarse.|||you can get cans of lighter fuel from any tobacconists or larger newsagents the can of fuel will come with various nozzles and a data sheet specifying which nozzle goes with which lighter should be easy
